About the author
Meagan Cothron (Cunningham)
I’m Meagan Cothron—a writer, speaker, and coach whose own story fuels the work I do. After witnessing my father’s journey through addiction and rehabilitation, I stepped into the human services field in 2014, beginning as an Intake Coordinator with the Salvation Army. What started as personal passion quickly grew into professional purpose.
Over the past decade, I’ve built a career at the intersection of healing, storytelling, and transformation. I’m the co-founder of Recover Out Loud, Bartholomew County’s first Certified Recovery Community Organization, with a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from IUPUI. In pursuit of my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Creative Writing, I strive to utilize the power of writing to create a movement. I’ve led peer support initiatives, developed recovery-informed programs, and created spaces where people can heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.
As the author of What About You?, I combine memoir, journaling, and real-world recovery wisdom to help women move from surviving to self-discovery. Through my platform Book With Meagan, I offer personalized writing services, coaching, and consulting with creative support to help clients own their story, sharpen their voice, and step into their next chapter with clarity and confidence.
My work is rooted in authenticity, resilience, and the belief that your story is not just something to survive but something to live, tell, and lead with.
This is where storytelling meets self-discovery. And I’m honored to walk with you.
